Visa Options
In Australia, visas for study are divided into several divisions based on their specific purpose and the types of stud they cover. There are a number of visa options which can facilitate this:
- Independent ELICOS Visa (Subclass 570)
- Schools Visa (Subclass 571)
- Vocational Education and Training (Subclass 572)
- Higher Education Visa (Subclass 573)
- Postgraduate Research (Subclass 574)
- Non-Award (Subclass 575)
In Australia, candidates are assessed at one of 3 levels depending upon the country whose passport they hold.

Also, many international students completing studies in Australia will wish to extend their stay here. There are a number of visa options:
General Skilled Migration
International students have a number of advantages in applying of skilled migration. Points are available for studies in Australia, particularly where completing higher qualifications or studying in a regional area. In addition, having an Australian qualification makes it easier to pass skills assessment in a skilled occupation.
Graduate Visas
If you have completed your studies in Australia, you may be eligible for a Graduate Visa. This is a temporary visa that allows you to stay and work in Australia for 18 months and more depending on your situation.
Company Sponsorship
If you have a job offer with an Australian company, it may be possible for them to sponsor you for either temporary or permanent residence.
